A Home on the Faded Plains + lil’ gift for ya

by Heather on September 16, 2011

Faded Plains

WAHOO! I have a super-duper someone to share with you today!

Meet Andrea from Faded Plains! She has an awesome shop ‘n blog.. check ‘em out! I was so intrigued by her work that I had to pepper her with a few questions.. and she let me share them with you.. how sweet is that?!

Faded PlainsI LOVE your name.. and tag line {Faded Plains}Simple.Country.Living.

Tell us a little about how you came to define this as your style.

I came up with the name Faded Plains because of my love for anything Faded (paint, floral fabrics, etc) and Plains came about because it related to where I live….in a Plains state. As for the tag line….it’s something I truly try to live by…just living a simple, country life.

faded plains Your home is beautiful Andrea! Can you tell us more about it?

Hmmm…my home is

always a work in project. Just when I think I’m done, I’m inspired by someone or something to change it again…but it’s all good…because I truly love working on my home. Whether it be in the garden…or in the kitchen…home is my favorite place to be. I love having most of my home done in shades of white….and adding pops of color through accessories and flowers. Because I tend to change things around a lot…a white backdrop works well for me.

faded plains animals

I’m so sorry to hear about your goose dying! I hope you’re ok. I hope it’s alright to ask you a little about what you love most about having animals.

Ahhh…my animals…I just love them
all….from our fainting goats…right down to Lily our guinea pig. There are so many reasons why I love having them around…like collecting fresh eggs from our coop…sitting on a rocker on our porch with one of our cats on my lap…slicing up some apples and feeding them to our goats…to me, animals are so loving and they add so much to a home…they give it life. They are always happy to see you…and that just makes my day.

And cause I was WOW-ed by her talent and kindness I decided to buy one of you.. my lovely readers a $50 coupon good for anything from her shop! Yep, grab this chance while you can cause you can bet the next time I spend 50 bucks over there it will be on myself ;) haha!

OK- here are the rules:

For the first entry head over to Faded Plains Shop to see what you’d spend your 50 bones on. Then head back here and leave me a comment sharing.

For additional entries share on your favorite media sites- you social media guru you. (FB, twitter, blog, etc..) Just be sure to leave an addtional comment for each entry.

Closes at midnight Eastern time on Thursday Sept. 23rd.

hut-hike!!! Have fun :)

(sorry this one is for U.S. residents only)
