My Favorite Blue Stool

by Heather on February 27, 2012

Hey Gals! (and PR men) How was your weekend? It was a sawdust flyen’, paint splattered type here! What better to do when you get hammered in with a foot of snow, right?

Makes me want to stay home. Cozy and warm. Maybe peel some spuds. Simmer down a yum soup. And have a good time.

My Favorite Blue Stool was actually purple in my head. And I don’t know if my vision is going but I really thought this paint was purple, until I put her on! Now I can see that she is really the perfect shade of country blue. but that’s ok…

I. LOVE. HER. THIS. WAY.

do you? I feel like I am COMING BACK TO LIFE. Ok, that may be a ‘lil over dramatized but not by much. It’s in my blood to be making and creating and painting and sharing with you. So thank you SO MUCH for constantly showing up to encourage me and share in this awesome fun journey we’re in on together!

How ’bout you? What have you been making lately? I’d love for you to share with me through pictures or words on my Facebook Page.

So for MORE good news.. I have decided to stop wholesaling my wood projects. Mostly because of my goal this year to CREATE more. It feels great to be constantly working on NEW designs instead of busting out old ones by the multiples. So WHY is this good news you’re wondering?? Because although my items will be limited quantities. (Often only one or two made of each item.) I am lowering my prices since I don’t have to account for a retail mark-up! WAHOOO!!!

I’ll still be selling my soap dispensers in my shop and to my wholesale customers at my normal prices. (it is a pure joy working with others trying to make their business dreams come true too.)

In the meantime I am going to keep chunking out more Post Road goodness… who knows where this road will lead me. But I am gosh darn ready and excited to find out!!

So c’mon and tell me… what would you like to see cooken’ up on Post Road? Have a favorite style, furniture piece, or color?? Let me know and I may (just may) try to make her happen. ;)

xo.Heather

p.s. you can find My Favorite Blue Stool HERE. (one available)

p.p.s. Don’t you just luuurve that ‘lil Piggy tea towel camped out on my new stool? From the lovely Sheila from Tattered Goods!

Can you please tell me what your apron is hanging from? Is it a saucer…made into a hook??? Do tell. They (the two of them) look so cute.

Hi Sally,

Yes :) I drilled through the plates with a diamond tipped drill bit and put the screwed the knob straight through into a drywall anchor.

Heather, you take the most beautiful pictures! I feel like I could just sit right down in that kitchen and feel right at home!
We’re working on a little remodel project right now. Won’t be done for a week or two, but I’ll be posting on my blog when it’s done. The sun is shining, although it’s cold, and the yard work is starting to call. Time to get the indoor projects finished so we can start on the outside. The circle of life!!
Keep of the wonderful work…it’s so joyful!

ve your kitchen. I had to laugh at the last one. Reminds me of one you had awhile back……..just a surprise one. I wish I could have the soap dispenser in my bathroom. I have little ones that would for sure break it. I have the wonderful chicken feeder mason jar.
I don’t have any suggestions, just keep on doing.

Love the stool and the apron! I also love that under the cabinet blue jar storage in your kitchen. I collect blue jars myself and had never seen that idea for using them. I also like the pegs on your kitchen wall. Can you tell me more about them? Are they plates with a knob/peg drilled through in the center? How did you make them? I love me some cool plates on the walls too! I like your style!

I spotted the green-handled potato masher and love those! We look for them in all the antique/junk stores we go in. They used to run $2 – $4 each, and now they’re expensive!! They can run $10 – $14! My mom uses them to weave baskets around, and they turn out soooo cute!
