Carrots and Clothes

by postroad on April 9, 2012

Hello! How was your Easter? For the Post Road clan it was the perfect celebration of all that is sunny in our lives’ right now! I hope it was the same for you!

I feel SO lighthearted to be hanging clothes on the line again. These vintage beauties put an extra spring in my step for sure. Hello summer pj’s, white tennies, and yummy faded floral sheets.

Goodbye hats, swampers, jackets…. oops! Not quite! Here’s my boyka’s digging up carrots (from last year) and worms. The carrots are extra delicious and crunchy after being in the ground all winter.

What is your favorite thing to make with carrots? We’ve been enjoying these plain (CRUNCH! CRUNCH!) But I would really love to hear your favorite carrot dish. Maybe something cooked or roasted with some special seasonings? YUM… share away if you are so inclined! :)

Carrots are our doggy treats here at home. Don’t eat the carrots out of the bag in the fridge! They have doggy slime all over them…..
So Katie was sitting on the couch with the bag of carrots yesterday, then I told her! I told her to try not to think about it….

I also love to munch carrots in their natural state, but a second fav is to cook and mash them like regular smashed potatoes and add some horseradish to the blend. It’s sooooooo good. I’m tellin’ ya.

We found our “winter carrots” and my boys ate them right out of the garden, too! We washed the rest and served them with ranch dip, but they were so good, I don’t think we even used the dip. The pictures of your “boykas” are so cute… I love your blog! I remember when we came to your mom & dad’s house for you grad. party – I was very impressed with your mom’s decorating… so neat! A long line of creativity there, and you’ve passed it on, too. :)
