Failing Forward

by postroad on March 1, 2013

Good Morning! How was your week? Can I be honest with you? This week has been humbling, eye opening, and an internal struggle. I have been really diving in and trying to learn and grow in so many areas of my life that it feels a bit overwhelming. The garden, (wanting) more animals, my babies, my biz, and on top of that I’ve decided to re-prioritize even more to focus on my health. (nothing¬†particularly¬†bad going on but I am finally recognizing and admitting that I don’t have the greatest relationship with my food.) So the plan is to start courting my meals and dumping the snacks. I know the break up period is going to be really hard but I am really looking forward to the passion part, the falling in love part, and then hopefully just settling in to a ‘new normal’ of my food and I loven’ each other in a healthier way.

ok, if you didn’t already think I’m completely off of my rocker you can officially now! As I’ve turned the volume WAY down on my business (cutting back on retail) it has opened my eyes more and more into other ways that I am seriously lacking! Thank goodness I decided to pay attention this time before this one life gets away from me! I’ve been inspired by my sisters to start the Whole30. But not till I get home from a weekend out with my mom and lovely sisters…………. I won’t lie, scared out of my gourd.

Anyways, where was I???

Here is something I’ve been working on this week. The best sort of projects….. for the magazine and to help organize my life at the same time! (oops, by the looks of the diaper pile it’s not working yet!) I am so inspired…….. this next magazine is going to wow ya, I just know it. I really can.not.wait.

Speaking of… I’ve just a few of the farmhouse calendars left. The next five peeps to order a year subscription get it gifted to them! (Currently the only way to get print copies ordered directly from my shop) You can subscribe here.

I hope you have an awesome weekend!

p.s. I’ve decided to extend the presale price on the soap dispenser class for one more week!

Luv, luv, luv your creativeness and envy your snow! Really, I am one of those crazy people who love winter ( but, I live in the South, which may explain it). I think your site is beautiful and inspiring. Look forward to all of your new projects.

I think it is only natural for someone with your creative personality to want to try lots of ideas and projects, and I certainly enjoy your shop, but it is really reading your blog and the honesty you share, along with the tidbits of your family, garden and business, that I enjoy. You are open and honest and because of that I respect you and want to wish you well on what you have shared today.

Heather,
I love your emails and your openness . I have decided I must cut back on the blogs I follow because it was taking time away from my priories (God and family). But I am keeping yours because they inspire me to be better, to focus on the important things in life. Thank you…now go give that family of yours a big hug!

Awesome! Sometimes I feel like I just “woke up” and realized that nothing is forever – good and bad.

Enjoy the journey!

Sue
