How do you live life like ya mean it? I’ll be honest… I’m writing this because I need the daily reminders. Do you?
First off I’m wondering…..
Who and What do you surround yourself with? And I’m starting to doubt the old cliche “do what you love”, cause many of us don’t know what we love. And then we barely find out, and it changes….. evolves….. and grows into something new. What we really need is freedom and contentment to just mess around, get creative, and not have to fit inside of a nice neat box. We need the courage to get past the judgements and comparisons, not so much from others, but from our own worst critics, ourselves.
Maybe you’re a bit tired of looking on Pinterest trying to figure out your ‘style’. Maybe you’re a little tired of the Martha Stewart craft supplies… mass produced and everyone’s projects look a bit too similar to interest you. Or maybe you look at the MASSIVE AMOUNTS of inspiration and talent and creativity online and think, “hey! I could do that!” (but can never quite seem to find the time to).
Today I want to encourage you to step off of the doing train and hop on the living train. Believe me, I hop off and on and then back, and almost get run over, and catch it just in time, many many times a day.
If making soap is something that calls you, that might be it. Or maybe it’ll be a nice long walk (hopefully minus the growl I heard in the wood…. which I shared about on facebook) Or maybe it’ll be taking the kiddos to the park with your favorite magazines and a journal to record your ideas. The key is to make a bit more space in your day and in your life to find the time. And then EXPLORE!
Thanks again to all who have signed up for the soap making class. I was honestly amazed and humbled and I can’t wait to be a small part of you stepping out into trying something new!
