Good Morning friends. Wow, it’s been a while! I won’t apologize, it felt amazing. But it appears this mama bear may have stumbled out from hibernation. I’m just pumped she didn’t wait for April :) God willing we will be welcoming another member of the brood come summertime (not the feathered variety….. though tempted on those too! ha!) We are so excited and I am also excited that coffee is finally tasting good again. So thanks to that there, is a fighting chance I will be back on here more regularly. Gotta love how those babies let you know who is boss right off the bat!

But I have missed you…. and if feels like there is so much, and simultaneously NOTHING to catch up on. Winter is a snowstorm this year. Heikki Lunta is on a roll. The Keweenaw snow report states- 171″ with 31 on the ground. So you STILL want to be a YOOPER?! The yard is completely buried along with all of my pretty winter porch decorating. It really doesn’t matter how landscaped or even cleaned up your yard is come winter….. everybody’s looks beautiful! God’s decorating! Other than that winter has been the pitter patter of small feet, cozy time, occasionally braving the elements to check on the critters, and bundling bundling to get all these boys outside to wear off their endless energy. OH, and keeping the hubby cheery for the hours and hours he’s spent shoveling, plowing, panking. Thanks to him, I love winter. Um yup, the two Christmas decorations that got up (the stockings and tree) are STILL up. We are moving at snail’s pace for a change and it feels amazing. I know it probably won’t last forever (nor would I want it to). So it is a real treat to be in no rush and have nowhere to be on these blustery days! Just some knitting, and dreaming about gardens and chickens, and now I’ve got to get my morning coffee going.

Stay warm! Be back soon! xoxoHeather

I was thinking that I’d lost your emails somehow. The pregnancy is a wonderful blessing for your family. I love babies and now at 64 wonder why we stopped at three. Enjoy your snow days and the slow pace for awhile, summer will be here before you know it. I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
