okay – I’m pretty sure this one is mine. Why? 1. I was searching Etsy for linens last night and ended up in her shop. Imagine my surprise when I bumped into the same shop again via your blog this morning. 2. Our house already has at least six of those exact soda bottles, so it’s like an extension of the same thing (did you follow that?) 3. It’s my birthday this week.
See? Meant. *wink*
As for why I love vintage linen? What’s not to love. I love the feel, the grain, the texture and I love the detail, embroidery and prints. Our beds are also a mix of pillowcases I couldn’t resist from here or there.

I get lost in the beauty of each piece. The time it took to make it. The little story it holds secret. I know – my kids tell me I’m mushy, but I can’t help it! I just love vintage things!

I love vintage linens because they are timeless.
They have stood the test of time and have touched many lives (think of all the stories they could tell!).
Plus, they just dont make linens like they used to! I mean, who really has the time to monogram ALL of their linens today?! Really….I wish
What a LOVely giveaway. Who doesn’t love vintage linens? I love the vintage mirrors in the Faded Plaines shop.
I posted on my FB too
Oh, I just love the Beveled European Mirror…
Vintage linens are beautiful, hold so much history, you look and touch them and wonder about who did all the work to create them and how precious they are now and when they were made…
Love, love, love the ironstone mugs and euro shams. Beautiful Etsy shop …thanks for the inspiration
vintage linens are all about the texture and subtle color…so sturdy, yet beautiful…I am definately addicted!
I love the rusty candle holder in her shop but those pillow shams are quite heavenly.

Lets see what don’t I like at Faded Plains shop, nothing…I love the windmill, the aqua ink bottles and of course the linens and oh the lace curtains. 1 of each please! Di
It’s me again…I love the white linens because it reminds me of my Grandmom and Aunt Ann. My mom in her later years loved to have her linens on her bed all fresh and laundered. The feel of the fresh laundered linens reminds me of that love! Di
Just pinned it!! So glad I found you today from Faded Plains, a new follower! Di
Hi! I love all the vintage linens over at Faded Plains, especially the English linen pillow slip!
I love vintage linens because they are usually made of such good quality material that gets softer over time. Also, if it’s vintage from my own family, I like to think of my grandmother, or whoever, using them in her day.
I love these little aqua english ink bottles from Andrea’s shop! They are just what I need for my kitchen windowsill! I’d put little seasonal flowers in them.
I ADORE vintage linen because it’s like living surrounded by a certain flair and quality that you don’t get today. It’s tasteful and yet simple, and softens things like old wood tables to make them comfortable enough for a home. It can be used for anything! I especially love vintage white or creme linens used as bedding or reupholstering. I can’t get enough of the stuff!
Here i am….may i count in ???………what a lovely give away Andrea…..love from me…xxx…
What beautiful linens! My, I would have a hard time parting with those too!
So generous, someone is going to be very happy this Christmas!
I have always loved everything in her shop, but since you dangled those linens in front of us, they are calling out to me… I put it on my blog. Thanks!

I love the simplicity of vintage linens. They are beautiful!
She has so many beautiful items, but if I have to pick just one it would be the vintage homer laughlin mixing bowl. Although it would not go with anything in my house, I LOVE the color.
Hello again…wow – so many amazing giveaways in your weeks of giving, I’m losing tracks…But gotta say – this is an amazing one. Just visited Andrea’s shop (thanks for the introduction BTW!) – oh….I’m loving lottsa things! If I have to narrow it down, I’d say the cabinet photos….I’m a nut for instant relatives…. ;o) Thanks for another awesome “round!” Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
Why do I love vintage linens (and I’ll add textiles)??? They take me back to thoughts of those amazing folk in those cabinet photos I so love – or later versions – and how these were so treasured in their simple – but oh so difficult – lives…..Robin

I LUV LUV Vintage Linens, did I say LUV? lol I imagine all the women who stored them in their hope chest, just saving these beauties for a special day! Nope not here, I would PROUDLY use them to make our farmhouse comfy, cozy & beautiful!
Thanks Heather!
I love most of the Faded Plains things, but my favorite has to be the vintage Euro sham # 1. It truly captured my heart with the details and fine handwork. I would feel like a queen with this lovely sham nestled on my bed.
I love vintage linens for several reasons. First, they are a connection with the past, and especially with the women who created–and enjoyed– their beauty. Second, the quality of vintage linens surpasses most of the linens we–or at least I–would have access today. Third, I love the snowy white fabric, and vintage linens have been softened by repeated washing and loving care over the years.
I love her blog…always leave inspired!
One of my favorites in her shop right now are the old corbels!
Thanks for the chance!
Besides the linens, of course, I could see those vintage milk bottles happily sitting on my mantle with a few sprints of lavender in each.
Wow everything in your pictures are beautiful. Vintage linens are so georgous and I would love to add the to my bedroom. Vintage chic
I love the euro shams! I also love the metal colander, graniteware loaf pan, and the beveled mirrors. So many beautiful things! Thanks for giveaway.
I love vintage linens because I think they have soul. Someone loved them. Someone cherished them. I like to give them a new home where they are loved again.
lOEVTHE EURO SHAMS-BEAUTIFUL!
Love her large european beveled mirror! Or even the corbels!
I love vintage linen. I like to imagine who used it and what they were going through at that time.
